Social Media Coordinator (Oakbrook Terrace,IL)

Job Summary:

Our Theater and Events client is actively hiring an experienced Social Coordinator to support with top quality production. The Social Media Coordinator will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our social media strategy. The primary responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive social media content calendars that align with overall marketing objectives for the threater and internal productions.

This role is responsible for the day-to-day social media operations: writing copy, scheduling, posting, and monitoring content across various social media platforms,ensuring consistency in messaging and brand representation. Collaborating closely with the Creative Associate, this person will contribute to the creation of specialized and engaging content that resonates with our target audience. As part of the Marketing team, the Social Media Coordinator collaboratively develops integrated marketing initiatives, analyzes social media engagement data, identifies customer trends, and plans digital campaigns to foster a vibrant online community. Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build social media strategies that align
    with the vision of theathes productions.
  • Plan, schedule, and report on social media posts to optimize audience
    engagement effectively.
  • Design and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with
    objectives set by internal productions teams.
  • Develop, pitch, and implement strategic social media campaigns in alignment
    with long-term marketing goals.
  • Generate, edit, plan, and publish content on a fixed media calendar approved
    by the Director of Marketing.
  • Crafting compelling and engaging copy for social media posts, translating the
    brand’s voice into concise and impactful messages across various platforms.
  • Ensure the overall visual coherence and accuracy of images, links, and
    information across all social media platforms.
  • Conduct research on benchmark trends, implementing relevant findings across
    various departments.
  • Attend various performances, events, and marketing initiatives as needed to
    actively support our marketing endeavors.
  • Seek collaboration opportunities with local businesses and individual partners to
    expand reach and build strong relationships.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with content creators and industry influencers
    in the Chicagoland area to engage current audiences and expand our reach.
  • Coordinate social media takeovers with cast members and creative team
    members to promote shows.
  • Organize and curate a content library of photos and videos for
    advertising.
  • Maintain a consistent company image throughout all materials and events.
  • Positively represent and promote the company and its image to the press while
    attending media/social events as assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of related experience 
  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Communications, Marketing, Social Media, or
    similar
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites and Google Mail/Calendar and Adobe
  • Comfortable handling highly confidential information
  • Present proof of COVID-19 vaccination
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Ability and willingness to work occasional nights, weekend and holidays as required

Compensation: $45,000 - $48,000
