Director of Marketing (New York,NY)

Job Summary:

Our client who is dedicated to providing transformative, tuition-free music education, access to live performances, and leadership development for youth in under-resourced communities is seeking a Director of Marketing to join their team. The Director of Marketing, a senior management role, will spearhead their marketing efforts to elevate their mission and drive engagement. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role requires a strong commitment to promoting their programs and expanding their reach.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Marketing Planning:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
    • Collaborate with the Executive Director and other departments to align marketing initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Content Creation and Management:
    • Oversee the creation and distribution of compelling content across various channels, including social media, website, email, and print materials.
    • Ensure all marketing materials adhere to brand guidelines and effectively communicate our mission and impact.
  • Digital Marketing and Analytics:
    • Lead digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media advertising.
    • Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics to optimize strategies and drive results.
  • Partnership and Community Engagement:
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with partners, sponsors, and community stakeholders to amplify our marketing reach and impact.
    • Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and local influencers to promote our programs and events.

       

  • Event Marketing and Promotion:
    • Develop and execute marketing plans for events, including concerts, workshops, school and community events, and fundraisers.
    • Coordinate promotional efforts with event organizers and stakeholders to maximize attendance and engagement.
  • Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximum ROI.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with five plus years of experience in marketing, preferably in the nonprofit or arts sector.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management, email marketing, and web analytics.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and driving social change through marketing.

Compensation: $80,000
